City of Los Angeles, seringkali disingkat L.A., adalah kota besar di barat Amerika Serikat. Ia adalah kota terpadat kedua di AS (setelah New York City) dan adalah kota terbesar di California. Para penjelajah Spanyol menamai sebuah sungai yang indah dalam bahasa Spanyol: El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles del Río de Porciúncula, dalam bahasa Indonesia: "Desa Ibunda Kita Ratu dari para Malaikat di Sungai Porciuncula". Pada 4 September 1781, para pemukim dari Misi San Gabriel mendirikan kota dan menamainya sesuai dengan nama sungai itu, namun dalam bentuk yang lebih singkat. Nama resminya adalah El Pueblo de la Reina de los Ángeles, atau "Kota Ratu dari para Malaikat."
Los Angeles diresmikan sebagai kota pada 4 April 1850. Populasinya adalah 3.694.820 jiwa hingga sensus 2000. Sebuah perkiraan sensus pada 1 Juli 2004 menunjukkan bahwa populasinya berjumlah 3.847.400 untuk City of Los Angeles. Metropolitan Los Angeles jumlah penduduknya lebih dari 12 juta, dan jika ditambah dengan Orange County, sebuah kabupaten yang berbatasan di sebelah tenggara, total populasi mencapai lebih dari 15 juta jiwa.
Ekonomi Los Angeles didorong oleh sektor pertanian, perminyakan, perfilman, aeronautika, perdagangan luar negeri dan pariwisata. Los Angeles adalah titik masuk terbesar bagi para imigran di AS. ALBUM PCD DOMINATION
The Pussycat Dolls - Doll Domination
"Doll Domination" has leaked with more than a week to go, and the album is awesome. While "PCD" was full of hits, this album is probably going to follow suit. Tracks such as "In Person", "Love The Way You Love Me", "Takin' All Over The World", and "" could potentiall be big hits.
A bit of trivia: two of the album tracks are past leaks of Nicole's for her solo album. "Who's Gonna Love You?" and "Happily Never After" were recorded and leaked over the past couple of months. It's reported that she has so many tracks that she decided to give a few to the new PCD album.
